aim54 unavailable

Recommended Posts

Hi there Hope someone can help me

I've installed WOE, patch oct 08, add weapon pack 25/01/09, the F14A and F14A+. And we trying to run, I cannot choose the AIM54 for my loving bird ! I spent weeks on it, and couldn't find a clue ! Please help. In fact, first of all, I didn't also have the AIM7, and I found that there was a wrong line in .INI of the aircraft (no radar homming weapons). Now I have the AIM 7, but still no Phoenix. SH....

Thanks

I've looked at my weapondata.ini and the AIM7 has the entry GuidanceType=12, but the AIM54 has a guidance type of GuidanceType=13.

Go into your F-14 data.ini and under Weapons Stations in your Pheonix Station section, check you have AllowedWeaponClass=SAHM,AHM

I'm on a lunch break right now, so I can't get into too much detail, but I don't think you want the Sparrow stations reading SAHM,AHM, because that will put the Phoenix into the Sparrow station (and into the airplane) instead of on its rails. There should be a number of stations labeled SAHM, and a number labeled AHM, I think the SAHM ones are station(num) bis. If no one has a solid answer in a few hours, I'll expound on this.

Meanwhile, check pistitom's link.

Wooo ! all these answers in an afternoon ! Thanks to all of you

Caesar, I checked, and found station called sparow with SAHM and stations called phoenix with AHM. Hence, the problem is not there. Still, It definitely seems that there is just a problem with the aircraft and the files "F14A_LOADOUT.INI" and "F14_DATA.INI". Can someone send me his' ?

By the way, pistitom, you've had the same problem it seems. What solution did you find ?

Thanks again for replying

hi, I downloaded a weapon editor ( find the link in my 'old' conversation ) and one of the members had sent me the missile's files, found also in the same conversation....however, I advise you download the Nato Fighters series ( there are 4 of them )and the latest community weapons pack, you get lots of great planes and weapons...

Out of a question, what weapons are available?

In fact all A-A weapons were available except phoenix. I wrote were for I finally solve my problem. I just find out that my AIM54 have to be directly in the weapon folder and not in a sub folder called AIM54. I also changed the AIM54 lines in my weapondata, and it works ! Don't ask me were was exactly the problem !

Thank's to all of you and have good fights

I have a real problem. I've downloaded the F-14A, and the only weapons avaliable are the droptanks and a few Sidewinder missiles. Does someone know how to use Sparrow and Phoenix missiles? By the way, I got the AIM-54 from ionutl, http://forum.combatace.com/topic/38072-weapons-pack-and-the-oct-2008-update/page__fromsearch__1 Thanks for your timeSalute.gif

Pistitom,

Look for the entry for the phoenix in your weapondata.ini.

I think that the phoenix as a specificstationcode.

add this line in the 4 first weaponstation on the F14_data.ini

It works fine for me.
