Hi All:

I've put together a table summarizing the main mission types in the Strike Fighters series as well as the main components or features of those missions types. See the attached ZIP, which contains the table in HTML form.

I put this table summary together thinking that it might help those who are just getting into building their own user-scripted missions for the Gen 1 or Gen 2 series.

Please keep in mind that this is a draft, so errors may exist. Comments and corrections are welcome, esp. from those who have extensive experience building missions for the Strike Fighters series.

Best,

Eric Howes

Not too shabby, just for Strike missions Escort flights are assigned to the whim of the game engine. Sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. I would say 50/50 but more like 60/40 in favor of getting an escort flight. CAS missions and SEAD... I would say roughly 50% of the attacking force has to be destroyed in order to get a success, or sometimes just three to four tanks/infantry unit and it'll give a success. TRANSPORT to me seems only usable and seen in Campaigns, AIR_ASSAULT? I don't think that's a valid setup for now. Maybe TK threw it in there and just forgot about it...
