  1. Slant6: In the aircraft's DATA.INI, look for the CenterStation in the Weapons Stations section.Remove or comment out the following line: NoJettisionTank=TRUE That should allow you to drop the center tank. Eric Howes
  2. Slant6: I'll be interested to see what you come up with for a 1948 campaign. I briefly considered doing one myself but ruled it out after some preliminary research suggested that such a scenario would not have turned out well for the Western allies. Put simply, the defense posture in Western Europe at the time was sadly lacking. Still recovering from the War, Western European countries had let their defense spending slide. Western air forces were in particularly bad shape, and the USAF itself had but a token presence in West Germany (as documented in Major Bloodnok's post above). It was the Berlin Crisis that caused the Western Allies to sit up and begin a program to rebuild and bring their military defenses up to snuff. NATO was formed in late-1948/early-1949 and a crash rearmament program launched. The U.S. began selling and transferring large numbers of U.S. built F-80s, T-33s, and F-84s to other Western Air Forces. The initial rearmament program was designed to be completed over a five year period. By 1953 the military situation in Western Europe was far different, with Western Air Forces now equipped with large numbers of jet fighter-bombers and interceptors and a semi-integrated command infrastructure to support a coordinated defense of West Germany. Three years later the West German Air Force would take to the skies as West Germany itself began rearming to take its place in NATO. That's why the earliest campaign in NATO Fighters 5 is 1953 -- that's about when the Western allies had finished their initial crash rearmament program. Please don't take this post as an attempt to discourage your work on a 1948 campaign. Far from it. As I said, I am most interested to see how this turns out. If the campaign OOB starts looking a little lopsided (in favor of the Red side), you might consider building some semi-fictional events into the campaign scenario: Truman goes into full freak mode and begins a crash re-mobilization campaign to bring U.S. forces back into Europe over a 3-6 month period. Something like that. In any case, please keep us updated on your work here. Eric Howes
  3. daddyairplanes: Yes, there probably will be more additions. The A-37 at the very least, if only to remove the dependence on the A-Team model. Perhaps the AH-1s as well. I don't foresee going wild with helos, though, as the primary focus of the mod is on the various bombing campaigns against North Vietnam. Sorry, for the tardy response. I only saw this post today for some reason. Eric Howes
  4. Nightshift82: You need the Sept. 2014 cumulative Update: http://combatace.com/topic/52002-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-sep-2014-update/ That's the only update you need. Eric Howes
  5. Bullseye71: The 2009 version simply will not work with the later patch levels. To use the 2009 version you will need the Dec2009 version of SF2V or earlier. And you will need SF2 and SF2E, else you will be missing aircraft. Eric Howes
  6. GIJoe: Have you checked the \Objects\Weapons\canoe folder in your Mod Folder for SF2V? You should find two texture files there: canoe.bmp canoeglass.tga Also, that particular pod is not supposed to be used with the EA-6A. The EA-6A typically uses the ALQ-76. Eric Howes
  7. Bullseye71: The SF2V expansion Pack will work with the latest patch level, provided you also install the cumulative patch for the Expansion Pack: http://combatace.com/files/file/10466-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-sep-2014-update/ You will need SF2, SF2E, and SF2V installed in a merged install. And please pay careful attention to the installation instructions in the ReadMe -- both for the base package and the cumulative update. Eric Howes
  8. Peeppu: Which "new version" are you referring to? Link? Eric Howes
  9. Wrench: Yes, the COCKPIT.INI specifies the correct file -- at least in the one that included in the 48-56 mod itself. Eric Howes
  10. Peeppuu: I just checked the Spitfire 9c in my install. The gunsight shows up just fine. I'll double-checked the files in the released ZIP file -- nothing is missing. The cockpits for the 9c and 9e are identical -- same INI files, same LODs and graphic files. I do not that the screenshot you have for 9e shows a gunsight that is considerably more orange than what shows up in my install. Is it possible you applied other cockpit mods to your Spitfires? Eric Howes
  11. Peeppu: I do have an update for this mod in the works, but it won't include post-80's jets and helos. The focus of the mod is on the historic Arab-Israeli conflicts, with the last major one being 1982. If you look through the campaign downloads section, you will find a few campaign mods that cover fictional post-80's clashes in the Middle East. Eric Howes
  12. n8d0g: The following all-in-one mods have red side campaigns that allow you to fly MiG-23s & later in Cold War campaigns: NATO Fighters 5 http://combatace.com/files/file/13332-nato-fighters-5-part-1-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13333-nato-fighters-5-part-2-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13334-nato-fighters-5-part-3-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13335-nato-fighters-5-part-4-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13336-nato-fighters-5-part-5-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13337-nato-fighters-5-part-6-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13338-nato-fighters-5-part-7-of-8/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13339-nato-fighters-5-part-8-of-8/ SF2NA: Black Sea Crisis http://combatace.com/files/file/15091-sf2na-black-sea-crisis-part-1-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15090-sf2na-black-sea-crisis-part-2-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15089-sf2na-black-sea-crisis-part-3-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15088-sf2na-black-sea-crisis-part-4-of-4/ The following three add-ons for the SF2NA Expansion Pack pack also have late Cold War Red Side campaigns: Strike Fighters 2: Crisis in the Med http://combatace.com/files/file/15465-strike-fighters-2-crisis-in-the-med/ SF2NA: The RSR Edition http://combatace.com/files/file/15366-sf2na-the-rsr-edition/ Strike Fighters 2: North Cape http://combatace.com/files/file/15270-strike-fighters-2-north-cape/ To use the above three mods you will need the SF2NA Expanion Pack: SF2NA Expansion Pack http://combatace.com/files/file/13980-sf2na-expansion-pack-part-1-of-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13979-sf2na-expansion-pack-part-2-of-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13978-sf2na-expansion-pack-part-3-of-3/ These three add-ons have late Cold War Red Side campaigns for non-Soviet actors: Strike Fighters 2: Indian Ocean http://combatace.com/files/file/15635-strike-fighters-2-indian-ocean/ SF2I Extension Pack http://combatace.com/files/file/15166-sf2i-extension-pack-1-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15165-sf2i-extension-pack-2-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15164-sf2i-extension-pack-3-of-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15163-sf2i-extension-pack-4-of-4/ "Operation Desert Storm" http://combatace.com/files/file/15147-operation-desert-storm-for-sf2-redux-part-1-of-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15146-operation-desert-storm-for-sf2-redux-part-2-of-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/15145-operation-desert-storm-for-sf2-redux-part-3-of-3/ And if the MiG-21 is "late" enough for you, there is also the SF2V Expansion Pack with its several updates and add-ons: SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Pack v2 http://combatace.com/files/file/10189-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-gold-part-1/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10190-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-gold-part-2/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10192-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-gold-part-3/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10193-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-gold-part-4/ http://combatace.com/files/file/11794-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-vpaf-add-on/ http://combatace.com/files/file/14676-sf2v-expansion-pack-end-game-1974-1975/ http://combatace.com/files/file/10466-sf2v-air-ground-war-expansion-pack-v20-sep-2014-update/ Eric Howes
  13. eagelf15strike: Nope, no ideas. I'd say your install is incomplete or broken. Eric Howes
  14. Svetlin: That's it -- many thanks. Eric Howes
  15. Folks: Sometime in the last year or so updated LODs for Julhelm's excellent CVN Ulyanovsk, as delivered by Fubar512, were posted. These updated LODs removed the static aircraft from the deck. I was looking for these LODs today and seem to have lost them. A search on CombatAce also turned up nothing. Could someone either point me to the discussion thread where they were posted or re-post them here? Thanks, Eric Howes
