Epizikl Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 The problem of using false weapons in conjunction with the installation of games: SF2, SF2E, SF2V, SF2I After a consistent set of all games revealed the problem: when you use the Strike Fighters 2 Weapons Editor does not create a file WeaponData.dat For this reason, there is no possibility of suspension of arms and equipment (except that which is the default) ... Previously, when using only a single installation SF2E this was not observed: all were normal. Has anyone encountered this problem?
sony tuckson Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Not sure I understand what you mean but one thing for sure, thee is no need to use the weapons editor at all addon weapons just need to be stored in their own single folder, with all the relevant files (bmp, lod, ini's...)
EricJ Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 What I think he's saying, that using the "Fake Pilot" method is not workable in SF2 series. However, since messing with FastCargo's Eagle family, it works fine
Epizikl Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 (edited) Problem decided! Updated WeaponsEditor (SF2_WeaponsEditor_setup_Oct2009) and everything was normal! And before that used the old version WeaponsEditor (SF2_WeaponsEditor_setup_Jun2009) Edited December 20, 2009 by Epizikl
sony tuckson Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 well, as I said, I added weapons in the series 2 without using no weapons editor at all...
