Have only ever played it through hyperlobby online - so you could meet up there which is probably a lot easier - you still need to port forward 2934 and 2935 UDP if you are behind a NAT router - how you do that depends on your router etc

 

might be worth searching old threads or simhq now frugals is down

Thanks MB. Actually right after i posted this i downloaded hyperlobby and forwarded the two ports. Flew for about 3 hours with a friend of mine in a dogfight. Good time

Another thing to try is Hamachi. Its not an official Falcon server, but if you and your friends who play Falcon are in the same group with Hamachi, its like your in a lan. Now just run a multi-player lan game and it works just the same. Its a lan over the internet This is now how me and my friend always fly. Its much easier because you dont have to close the game to change types of game IE: Campaign to dogfight to TE.
