rook 0 Posted January 3, 2010 Hi guys, i'm relatively new to this game and there's one problem: When I fly a mission e.g. a BARCAP, it says in the briefing, that I should stay in the target area for a specific time, lets say 30 mins. Sometimes it happens, that i'm out of missiles after just 10 mins. Since it's useless to hang around defenseless, I usually return home early. Now the problem is, that I always get a "mission failed" in the debriefing, because of returning home to early. Anyone knows a solution? greets
toonces 4 Posted January 3, 2010 In the mission briefing portion of the flight, select one of the BARCAP waypoints and set the loiter time to 0 minutes. Then you can fly the BARCAP for as long as you wish and it will automatically be scored as a success. You could, alternatively, ensure you "check out" with AWACS before you go offstation; however, I don't know if it will prevent the mission failure score. I've always used the 0minute trick.
