Thanks for posting the url to download the update. I did so, and WHOA!

 

Would you please post instructions on how to install it? The Readme file included with the update was obviously done, using a Japanese to English translation program, and it is confusing, to say the least.

 

Ain't no way I will even attempt to install the update unless I can understand the process!!!!!!

I'm holdng off for a but myself, I've read there are some CTD's from some people but it's not widely posted about.

 

I'll post back once I get a handle on it ;)

it appears to be a simple copy and past.

 

Same as usual.

Extract to temp using folder names.

Backup your aircraft.cfg (to save your re-paints).

Copy the FA-18E_SuperHornet folder into the FS9 aircraft folder overwriting the older files.

 

The advanced setup gives you custom aircraft.cfg's reflecting the different fuel load-outs. (optional)

I beleive I did the usual install, but I have several textures missing on my plane. I'll look at it again when I get home...

If you are missing cockpit instruments in FS2002, make sure you go into the panel folder and extract the fx zip file, and superh zip and put them in the guages folder.

Are the downloads free?

Yes the D/L's are free. They are also at flightsim.com and simviation.com

Be aware these are big files, the F/A-18E is about 30MB's so plan on some serious time consumption if you have dail up.
