Just wanted to say that I like the "Contact ... clear!". I only wish we could have sort of a Voice Buddy program to use these phrases ourselves in the sim and get the prop spinning. Wouldn't it be nice to shout "Clear my tail" to a wingman and see him move accordingly? Maybe Voice Buddy does work with OFF, does anybody know?

 

Yes- I use Game Commander and start by voice- I don't know if it should be "Starters Up", or "Start Us Up" But that's what i say, and the engine starts!

Well, being a "British Subject" I can quite clearly hear the Lancashire accent, as our bunch came from the North originally. I quite like the start up, kind of gets you in the mood. My only comment would be perhaps Olham should do a German - "Contact, clear", for all German enthusiasts tha purchase OFF :)

Speaking as an Ami, this thread reminds me that I was talking with an air force type some years ago who commented that he had found it impossible to eavesdrop on buses in the north of England due to the natives speaking some incomprehensible native dialect. Now, the subject of why a zoomie (air force person in interservice slang) would be wanting to eavesdrop on a bus is, of course, an other issue all together.
