Au contraire curmudgeonly one, I find Dawn Patrol a charming and enjoyable romp and recommend it. But I would love to get a copy of the earlier 1930 Howard Hawks directed version with Dougie Fairbanks Jnr [hint hint]

I'm with you Catch. I also am trying to get a copy of the earlier film although I understand much of the flying sequences were used for both films. In your search for the earlier film be aware that it was retitled "Flight Commander". Good luck!
