Hello!

 

I'm looking for some informations about FAE Mirage F1:

 

- in which year there are armed with Python3 and Magic 2 missiles?

- what other weapon they can use in their late service- I saw only pictures with Pythons 3/4, Magic 2 and Durandal.

- are they equiped with some internal ECM and flare/chaff systems? I ask because when Python 3 are loaded on external pylons there is no place for Phimat and Barax pod's.

As far as i know, all aspect IRM weren´t available in the 1995 Cenepa War. I heard they also had Super 530s, but that´s not much reliable.

 

Hasta donde yo se, no tenian misiles infrarojos todo-aspecto in la Guerra del Cenepa en 1995. Oí que tenía Super 530, pero no era información muy fiable

Sobre los Mirage F-1 de la FAE, estos no han recibido mejoras importantes, segun entiendo estos cazas tuvieron 3 programas de modernizacion, el primero se desarrollo en los años 80's y aprovecho las lecciones del conflicto de Paquisha en 1981, alli recibieron lanzadores de chaff/flare y adquirieron los misiles MagicII, posteriormente a mediados de los 90's, en preparacion para el conflicto del Cenepa, los aviones recibieron algunas mejoras, como la introduccion de un nuevo RWR, de origen israeli con el cual se estandarizo los RWR (con los Kfir y Jaguar), la mejora mas importante vino despues del conflicto y aprovecho conclusiones sacadas de el, viendose la necesidad de incrementar el numero y la calidad de armas aire-aire por lo cual la FAE adquiere importantes cantidades de misiles MagicIImk2 y Python III, los primeros para ser usados en wingtips y los segundos en los soportes alares exteriores, con lo cual adquieren la capacidad "head-on" (osea son misiles que pueden dispararse de frente, no necesitan ubicarse a "las 6" del avion enemigo) y duplican el numero de misiles portados. Otra mejora aparentemente incluyo el sistema de navegacion, el cual habria recibido equipos de origen sudafricano (computadoras de mision???) empero la mision de este avion en la FAE sigue siendo la de interceptacion, defensa aerea, la cual comparte con los mas multirol Kfir
