No the chains just get rusty...

 

mine were to start with!...I used to nick all the British Rail Toilet Chains from Newcastle to Brighton to hang off my Jacket! (I'm surprised I didn't give myself some awful disease!)

I had never heard of "Docs" until my daughter wanted some. I grew up in serious logging country where you went for White's if you could afford them or Santa Rosa's if you couldn't. But you definitely need "Corks".

Oi! Still have a pair of 18 holes that Ive owned since 84. I'll drink a pint or two in Old Doc's honor.

First got mine in '70 when it was part of the "terrace uniform" in the old Leazes End. :heat::no:

I've still got my Frye square toes and wear them now and again... they're 22 years old now. Yikes!!
