Duce Lewis 3 Posted April 1, 2010 Some of you may remenber I have a coworker who was asking me about flight sims He had a Mac and an XBox 360 Well he's got it and has be regaling me with his daily exploits It's cool to have someone to bat the breeze with but sad cause I really can't help him You see in 4 weeks he's gone from Ace Commander to Hawx and now Heroes Single Player Campaign consists of 5 Ground Attack Missions, then 5 Air/Ground Missions, then 5 Air to Air Missions etc You only get to advance if you complete all 5 missions/set successfully I haven't been able to tell him but that seems so monotonous and boring Maybe it's designed for On-line play and there're some redeming qualities there Made me realize how lucky we are with OFF and it's Dynamic Campaign Since I started in P1, I've really concentrated on 3 planes, Se5, DVII, and N.28 And yet after 3 1/2 years it just doesn't get boring! Each campaigni's different and full of varied challenges Great Job Devs
catch 81 Posted April 1, 2010 Anybody ?????? No need to shout I hear ya Unc ! I could be wrong but wasn't it just a dual boot with mac and windows so discerning mac users could have the opportunity to at last experience spectacular windows based titles such as OFF ? Barkhorn1x 14 Posted April 1, 2010 I haven't been able to tell him but that seems so monotonous and boring Maybe it's designed for On-line play and there're some redeming qualities there I hear ya Duce - my kids play all manner of PS3 games (Gods of War III is the latest) and I just don't get the artificial levels/health bars/find the key/etc. approach that all these games seem to...um..."feature". I play OFF for the historical fidelity and for the thrills - but in that order - so I cannot wrap my head around the console experience.
UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, the new Mac O/S 10 allows you to install Windows as well, as a Dual Boot

He was explaining to me today how he had 3 mid air collisions yesterday In the same scenario, against the same plane, in the same manuever .Well guess the bright side is if he's happy now, he's gonna be extatic when I figure out how to get him to fly OFF Well, the new Mac O/S 10 allows you to install Windows as well, as a Dual Boot Cool! thanks Al, Catch, Widow! I'll check into it
