trek 0 Posted April 1, 2010 Just wondering about daily download limits. I checked the regulations here on CA and I guess I'm considered a Junior Member with a limit of 8 downloads. Yesterday I DL'd up to the 8 maximum for me. However, today, CA would only allow me 3 downloads before informing me I had exceeded my limit (I DL'd 3 Fokker Skins.) I was just curious if anyone here knows why it limited me to only 3 today instead of my limit of 8? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If you download 8 items and they all finished at the same time lets says that's 1:00 pm then in theory by 1:00 pm the next day you'd have 8 more downloads available. The way the system refreshes your download count is by running a task in the background and it looks for entries older that 24 hours and removes them thus freeing up downloads for you. The imperfection is that the clearing task only runs twice per hour so depending on your download completion time in a given hour your downloads might be refreshed at 0:18 0:48 within that hour.
