GhostDog Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 i must have accidentally unticked the "allways ask" - box and clicked "open" when DL'ing a zip file. In any case i dont get the downlaod dialog box anymore when clicking download links for zipfiles: it just starts tp open them instead. Does anybody know how to restore the default setting where it asks what i want to do? My OS is win XP pro Quote
MadJeff Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 I thought it was in Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced, but after looking through it I can't find it anywhere. Quote
Chaingun Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 If you want to be prompted for a download location for the file type, follow these steps: Double-click My Computer. On the View menu, click Folder Options. On the File Types tab, click the appropriate file type in the Registered File Types box. Click Edit. Click to select the Confirm Open After Download check box. Click OK, and then click OK. Not sure if this is what your looking for or not. Just thought I'd try and help. Microsoft help page Quote
