Gr.Viper 131 Posted June 5, 2010 Our famed education system has reached a new low. Now it's prety standard that most school writing assignments here are copied from the Internet, but this one takes the cake. A 16 y.o. student presented his IT teachers with a "brand new" BolgenOS with his own package of office software and an anti-virus utility. It took him a year to code that. The teachers were so impressed that they've spread the word, then the press got involved and in turn spun the story so that in their report the whole region was going to switch to the brand new wonder-OS. Even got a laptop on the market http://www.space97.ru/item017833.html All that despite the numerous reports that the OS is an obvious Ubuntu distriburion with all original names and credits erased from the code. Same goes for the brand new software which has simply been renamed. http://sourceforge.net/projects/bolgenos/ Reviews section does have some English, like A guide to create Bolgenos: 1. Take an Ubuntu distro 2. Replace "Ubuntu" with "Bolgenos" everywhere you can find finds. (don't replace everywhere, miss some places) 3. Create an awful theme that looks completely like OS X, but don't cover all parts. For example, leave the progress bars orange. 4. Replace all licenses with "© Denis Popov" 5. ??? 6. PROFIT!!!
