jomni Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) Long time combat simmer here. Finally bought FSX the other day and I am finding it fun. Edited August 5, 2010 by jomni Quote
+streakeagle Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I think some of the missions are very fun, especially the helicopter ones, but overall it is boring compared to combat flight sims. If you want to practice button pushing/flight procedures or take some pretty screenshots, FSX is hard to beat. X-Plane is fast catching up, but FSX is still better overall out of the box and/or with addons. Quote

Rambler 1-1 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I always have a blast with Flight Sim, though I only run FS9 and never do the missions. I just love the whole kit; from taxi and takeoff to navigation to landing, I love every minute of it. A big part of that is probably the excellent 3rd party planes available. Quote
Slartibartfast Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Must admit I have FSX havn't flown it in awhile but my I own the Cargo Hauler addon and it makes it more interesting... Especially as I start my companies in out of the way places like Nepal or Alaska... Its Interesting flying out there especially with realistic weather switched on... and trying to get a Cessna airborne from an 8000ft mountain fully laden to fly 500 miles to another airfield at 10000ft does make it fun to say the least... Trying not to break the cargo or the plane... Quote
