Doom 3 Mods

For those of you that are sick of switching between your weapon an flashlight theres a mod for you.

 

So far Ive found 9 mods on Planet Doom.

Piston Flashlight Mod 0.1:

This adds a flashlight to your pistol in Doom 3. Author stated that the mod removed the muzzle flash from your weapon but I tested this an it had no effect on my weapon. I still had the muzzle flash an the flashlight.

 

You cannot turn off the flashlight be its a nice addon giving you the ability to move an see an engage at the same time. Nice touch.

Sentry Robot Mod:

This is a modification for Doom 3 that will reprogram the sentry robot to follow the player around the game

 

I still have not been able to get the Sentry Robot to follow me. When I type the command in he appears in front of me but does not follow. Its almost like its asleep or not activated. I have read that the sentry robots are very effective against zombies an demons. They take alot of punishment.

 

The command is suppose to be typed after you load a single player game.

By bringing down the console: ctrl+alt+~ type in the following cmd.

 

spawn char_sentry

 

The other command is:

spawn char_sentry_flashlight

 

Im guessing this cmd gives you a sentry robot with alluminating abilities but who knows Im still trying to get the 1st cmd to work. Let me know if you have any luck.

The next mod that I like alot is called Ungibbable Mod:

Ungibbable is a small mod for Doom 3 that simply removes the gibbing

when bodies are damaged. Instead, they stay intact and remain there,

thus allowing players to either inflict further damage or view the

realistic carnage.

 

This one works just like it says. I like the effect of this.

LOL I was saying today that the first mod should be a flashlight mounted to the weapon :)
