The Sopwith Camel and the Supermarine Spitfire are icons of their respective eras, both efficient designs that were very effective. The Sopwith Camel was first flown in 1916 and the Supermarine Spitfire made its maiden flight March 6, 1936. Hope it's of interest! Edited September 22, 2010 by Tarkaman

SirMike1983 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 This one is a classic as youtube videos go. You can see the effects of the rotary engine as the plane "dances" about in level flight in a circular fashion. Both are impressive planes, but I prefer the Camel between the two.
