RAF_Louvert 101 Posted September 28, 2010 . Oh yes, any restoration of old aircraft is a very, very good thing. Interestingly, the tiny little Iowa Aviation Museum in Greenfield, Iowa has two flying examples of the Tiger Moth; one Australian version, and one Canadian version. Iowa Aviation Museum BTW, their Chile Fly-in, held every January, is a blast. .
Bullethead 12 Posted September 28, 2010 Good thing. Tiger Moths seem to have been dying like flies lately :(
Flyby PC 23 Posted September 29, 2010 Been said before I know, but restoration to air worthy condition is a less 'faithful' restoration than non-flying condition. I'm with you guys though, I like to see them flying with appropriate concessions to safety than stuck on the ground but restored to original mint condition 100%.
