Doom keeps freezing and crashin on my comp. It'll play fine with killer fps, then suddenly it will freeze. Occasionally it freezes when I press esc to exit the game.

Any suggestions?

Ha, never mind. I know the first suggestion would be to update my drivers. Which is exactly what I did. Fixed. Cat 4.8's.

And yes, I do fly LOMAC.

does it give you any errors when it crashes? when you say freeze, does it freeze the game but you can ctrl+alt+del out of it? or does it crash your whole computer?also, you may want to try using an earlier cat driver, make sure you have dx 9.0b updated windows... etc.

Awesome, I'll have to check those 4.9's out. At the moment though, Doom III is runnin hot and heavy, no problems.

Well, no problems cept sweaty palms and swamp ass.

Don't know if I'd mess with a good thing then. As I think most people reported maybe a 1-3 fps increase at the most. It was mostly a fix for things like artifacting and freezes I believe.
