Canadair Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) I liked Yamato in the second and third series, in whcih the Yamato is only one, and even the latest model, in the Space Fleet. This lead to a story with full scale space war situation, much more interesting than first series in which is Yamato Vs all Also there is this one, but I don't know wheter is real, viral, or fake Edited January 2, 2011 by Canadair Quote
Hellman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Wow!!! I was a weee lad watching the americanized translated version in the 70's. I always loved the anime and especially the Yamato. It now seems a remake was due especially with newer 3D technologies to realize it. I'll have to hit the local asian mall to pick up a copy once its released. I would love to see a realtime Macross produced. That would melt my brain and make me happy. The GAIKING video has been around for a while.... I think it was a proof of concept to raise money for a full production. I'm just happy the Asian SCI-FI genres are hitting the mainstream again. Quote
FalconC45 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Re: GAIKING I remember same thing happened with Dragon Wars movie. They made a teaser movie with AH-64 Apaches and dragons battling it out above a city. Dragon Wars got released, it did ok, I bought the dvd because the CGI Dragons were awesome. Falcon Quote
