tranquillo 10 Posted January 20, 2011 Had a hard days work today and was looking forward to a mission with OFF. Halfway through my flight OFF stopped responding to my joystick . I exited from the flight and shut down OFF and TrackIr. On testing my joystick it proved to be working OK. To cut a long story short I tried running OFF with and without TrackIr, various combinations of USB slots (I've got 10 altogether). The best I could manage was to get a single response from the joystick in QS and then, once again no response. Each time I tried to configure the joystick everything was fine and working but as soon as OFF was started - no go:dntknw:. At one point the stick button I have set for centering TrackIr didn't work for that either. I finally decided to do a system restore to yesterday before my latest updates - bingo. Everything works just fine again . On looking at my update history it seems that the only thing that was updated yesterday was a virus definition for my MSE. Just to let you guys no, I have a Thrustmaster 1600 and am running Win7 64bit - just in case anyone else experiences the same problem. Olham 164 Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) Sounds like there might be more trouble ahead. I remember, that when HitR came out, some people's AV found it infected, although it wasn't. Seems like, the more desperately they are trying to protect us from any eventualities, the more likely it could become, that parts of programs are getting "identified" as viruses? (Just the 2pence thoughts of a Neandertal man). PS: we heard only recently, that a special new form of virus was introduced by the "U.S. Department for Cyber Warfare" (although they may not be listed anywhere- Lol!). It was said in our news, that this virus could interfere and cause severe problems in the computers of (the Iranian?) nuclear power plants. It easily spreads per USB sticks. Now my very amateurish thought: could it be, that such a virus would spread, yet undetected, and sabotage small parts of our programs, too?
