Flight sims, obviously, but anything that flies or rolls is ok with me. I'm a music lover, been playing bass guitar close to 40 years, also, firearms, guns are a kick, favorite past time is spending time with my 3 year old son, who seems to have the same love for things that fly.

  1. I would say "welcome back" but alas, I've been MIA for a while now! So glad to hear that you're doing okay. Take your time and heal well my friend! PS: my address is still the same.
  2. They didn't call the Camel "Widowmaker" for nothing. It earned that rep!

Welcome Boomer! Been on a bit of a furlough, seriously wounded in action, but back in the saddle again! Make mine iced tea!
  4. This may or may not have been posted here already, but I'm gonna post it here anyway! For those of you, like myself, who are still running XP, I found an easily installed way to run DirectX 10 on Windows XP. And it works! http://www.techmixer.com/install-directx-10-on-xp-with-directx10-rc2-pre-fix-3/ It's a piece of cake to install and works like a champ! If y'all already knew about this, sorry for the repost!
  5. When I first started with OFF I had an AMD Athlon 1.2Ghz CPU 512 Mb PC133, GeForce 4 MX440 64Mb video card. It wasn't long before I saw it was hopeless and started collecting parts. That was early Phase 2. If you would like to try it, I'll send you a copy of Phase 2 final and all the trimmings. Just PM me your address. Welcome aboard, CJ
  6. A funny one

You must be referring to Stuxnet. It's a sophisticated worm.
  7. He could have been reloading. With the Lewis, a job that takes some concentration. Definitely screws up your SA.
  8. I was watching a documentary on the Military Channel called "Submarines: Life on a boomer" this morning and noticed a glaring mistake. It may not be noticeable to the average person, but having been part of Uncle Sam's Underwater Canoe Club, I noticed it right away. They mentioned a "nuclear submarine" that caught fire in 1988 in which 3 sailors were killed. The only sub that caught fire in 1988 in which 3 sailors died developed a leak in the battery compartment, which caused a short in an electrical bus, causing a battery explosion and subsequent fire. The sub was the USS Bonefish SS-582. The Bonefish was not a boomer (ballistic missile sub) nor was it ever designed or equipped to carry nuclear weapons of any kind. It was not even a nuclear submarine. It was diesel/electric. CJ
  9. "I installed CFS 3 and the old unpatched OFF from the CD first." I know this may sound like a silly question, but are you using OFF Between Heaven and Hell, or OFF Phase 2? If it's Phase 2, you not only have to install and update CFS3, but you have to fly it at least once before installing OFF. The patches at the OFF site are for BH&H. If you are using Phase 2, give me a holler and I'll help any way I can. CJ
  10. They'd probably advertise it as a tourist attraction! It'd be a good one.
  11. Perhaps I can find the pocket watch and Saint Christopher necklace I lost!
  12. Best thing about 2010...

    I became a grandfather!
  13. Where's Chapter 2? You've given me an itch that demands a good scratching!
  14. A real good samaritan...

I was reading this story to the Missus and had to stop several times from getting so choked up I couldn't continue.
  15. Hey Y'all, have a very Merry Christmas ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDYfXlMR9QA
