Hi Spectre, I hate to bother you, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the Eurofighter Typhoon in your Taiwan campaign. I'm running a full-merged install with Expansion Pack 2 and the latest patch. Whenever I create a single mission using the Typhoon, I always start at 30,000 feet with the throttle set at 0%. This occurs on any terrain, but only with the Typhoon. I've tried multiple planes and can't replicate the issue with anything other than the Eurofighter. Do you have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

@ Shotgun 27

Check the version in the VERSION.INI in the root of the user folder. Make sure it's Jan 2011.

I haven't experienced that problem.

This is what my Version.ini looks like:

[Version]
BuildDate=Jan 2011
StrikeFighters2=TRUE
StrikeFighters2 Vietnam=TRUE
StrikeFighters2 Europe=TRUE
StrikeFighters2 Israel=TRUE
StrikeFighters2 Exp1=TRUE
StrikeFighters2 Exp2=TRUE

That being said, I'm having the same problem with the Typhoon in the Aircraft section (which obviously is not updated to the latest standards). I don't think this is an issue with your pack, more than likely with my install. Thanks for the help, though.

@ Shotgun 27

Well if you've done a clean install of this Mod as per instructions with version Jan 2011 there shouldn't be any issues. Not sure what standard your'e

speaking of. If We have the same mods and SF2 version number it should be the same. This is what i have:

[Version]

BuildDate=Jan 2011

StrikeFighters2=TRUE

StrikeFighters2 Vietnam=TRUE

StrikeFighters2 Europe=TRUE

StrikeFighters2 Israel=TRUE

StrikeFighters2 Exp1=TRUE

StrikeFighters2 Exp2=TRUE

Hi Spectre, I have tried to install and reinstall many times your excellent mod but it always crashes when the loading bar reaches 80% even though I have carefully followed your instructions. I have installed and play without any difficulty other mods NATO Fighters IV+, SF2V Air & Ground war expansion pack v2.0, and Falklands. I have tried to installed your mod with SF2, SF2:E, SF2:V, SF2:I but it all fails. Can you help to resolve this problem?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Vietace1

What Version is your Main Game install? Did you download Taiwan part 1 and 2 v1.01 and run the installer with part 1 and 2 in the same folder and the run the Taiwan v1.04 update?

what type of mod setup did you choose?

Hi Spectre8750,

Thank you for your e-mail. Luckily I have successfully installed your mod after a clean SF2:V installation with May 2011 update. What a thrill to face the overwhelming China People's Air Force! Many thanks again.

Hi Spectre8750,

I have added successfully VPAF' Su-22M3 but this unit is always assigned to air-to-air role even though I have selected as follows:

MissionChance[sWEEP]=0

MissionChance[CAP]=0

MissionChance[iNTERCEPT]=0

MissionChance[ESCORT]=0

MissionChance=50

MissionChance[CAS]=0

MissionChance[sEAD]=20

MissionChance[ARMED_RECON]=0

MissionChance[ANTI_SHIP]=60

MissionChance[RECON]=0

This issue also happens whenever I give ground or ship attack orders to other Su-35, Su-33, and Su-39 units.

Thank you in advance.

This issue has been brought up at Thirdwire and last i heard TK said it's the way the Game deals with Aircraft roles and isn't perfect. it's part of the Random generation of missions. Nothing that we can do about it as far as i can tell at this point. If someone knows more about this issue please do tell.

You can go into the Aircraft data.ini and change the fallowing:

AircraftRole=FIGHTER to AircraftRole=ATTACK

It may already be that. Other than that not much to do.

Thank you. It's already there. Hopefully there will be a patch from Thirdwire to resolve this issue.
