Which Quick combat do you fly? the one directly from the main menue or the CFS3QC on the lower left of the workshop window?

I have tried both but not enough to really tell the difference.

I think the CfS3qc with the realism setting in the drop down hanger menue is easier to fly . Or are they the same?

The CFS3 QC in workshop has the bigger choice, I think.

You can even choose there, from which aerodrome you want to fly; you can choose a specific weather type.

I only fly QC for testing reasons - the campaign is just so much more rewarding.

I'm with Olham--I just use QC for testing. I have a stable of test pilots, 1 for each nationality, who do nothing but fly in QC. My campaign pilots do nothing but fly in the campaign.

I only use QC for the following purposes:

  • Getting the feel of an airplane I haven't flown much, if at all, or haven't flown in a long time. In this case, I just fly around by myself doing climbs, dives, turns, stalls, and various aerobatics to find out what its limits are. I also sometimes strafe ground objects to determine which cockpit doodad to use as a gunsight, but I never do real combat.
  • Checking my work on a new skin I'm making.

Thanks.. Started one campaign and I see I need a lot more practice to survive any kind of combat.

Am enjoying the QC.So far I really like just basting away. Now I have a lot more info on how to best use cfs3QC. looks like it has the most to offer. I did not realize you could go directly to the field in cfs3QC by hitting the CFS3mP .exe. in my main oFF folder.

In my OBDS main folder are two folders.

CFSww1 OVer Flanders Field ,,,which is my main OFF folder and a second folder called WW1Scenery. What Is WW1 Scenery for?

It helps if someone in your family is the owner of a "Rest in Pieces Memorial Gardens" or if they supply the headstones/markers for the many yet-to-be-filled plots.

For a while, I was stacking up pilots like cord wood.

Pawgy, let out that devil in you and enjoy the turkey shooting.

Later, when you have calmed down (may take half a year or even more), you may want to

get into the immersive campaigns with more patience.

The WWI Scenery folder is the method through which OBD has worked much of their magic on CFS3 to come up with OFF and HITR, I believe Pawgy. Somewhere in the OFF.exe is a program written by Rex Hannover that loads much of the material located in the WWI Scenery folder into CFS3 and converts it from WWII to WWI. For example, look in the Difficulty folder and you will find a folder for AI and settings for gun settings etc.

More than that, I really can't say, as I am not an expert programmer and I do not have access to the OFF executable file.
