Wodin Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) I keep getting CTD's with SF2V in a seperate install with the Air and Ground war mod 2.1 with the latest patch. I've reinstalled twice and made sure everything wa sinstaled in the right order....the first install crashed on the South Map this one seems to be crashing on the North map....game will freeze and CTD any time...I can get a mission in and everything is fine and then the next mission will crash at some point during mission....it's even crashed during loading a campaign it got to a 100% then CTD... Anyone else have any problems... Thanks P.S I've checked the forums and knowledge base to no avail....letter limit on the forum search can be a pain.. Edited March 1, 2011 by Wodin Quote
EricJ Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 It has to do with an ini issue, eburger68 will sort you out when he can. Quote
+eburger68 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) Wodin: Do you have the February 2011 update installed? That update fixes all CTDs that I know about. Eric Howes Edited March 1, 2011 by eburger68 Quote
Wodin Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Yes I did...I did install the red campaign afterwards...I shall re install the patch see if that helps... Quote
+eburger68 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Wodin: The difficulty here is you're getting what appear to be random crashes with both terrains. There's really nothing much here for me to go on. Moreover, I haven't heard from anyone else with crashes such as you've described. Is there any common element to your crashes? Are you always flying the same aircraft? What about weather conditions? Single missions or campaigns? What I would suggest is a reinstall the base Expansion Pack (from teh four 7zip files). Don't apply any of the updates. Just fly with that for a day or so. Then start adding parts of the Feb. 2011 patch one by one. First, everything from the \Flight, \Menu, \Effects, \Sounds, and \PilotData folders. Then the terrain updates. Then the Weapon and Gun updates. Then the GroundObject updates. Then the Aircraft updates. Finally, the campaigns. After each partial update, play for a day or so to see if the crashes come back. What we're looking for is the point at which the crashing starts happening again. Eric Howes Quote
Wodin Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Before I read your last post I reinstalled the patch...so far I have had no crash's..IF it happens again I will do as instructed. Quote
