I can't understand why R-98R/T soviet air to air missile has black colour in game. The bitmap file inside the folder of the weapon is white. Earlier version R-8 has the normal white colour.

Any ideas?

hello Tiopilotos,

is the name of the bmp exactly what the model linked to? (Open the LOD file with an hexeditor and search for "bmp")

Where did you got that R-98R/T from by the way? Help us to help you grin.gif

misnamed bmp or misnamed in the LOD. Like Frank said, you'll need a hexeidtor to fix the LOD, or just rename the bmp to match what the LOD calls for

Ok, it's a (not so) wild guess here, but try to rename your bmp file to "aa-3.bmp", as it looks like that all AA-3*.LOD are set to use that file name. That, as Wrench said, will save you the hassle of hexaminizing the lods.

I opened the .LOD file with hexeditor and the name inside is not AA-3RB.bmp (Version R-98) but AA-3.bmp

How can I change the name inside the .LOD file?

I think you're right. All R-8/98 missiles use the same name inside the .LOD file. I will just change the .bmp name.

Thanks guys!
