A total newbie to WOE, I've hesitated to display my ignorance, but all my searches for "slow motion" have proved fruitless.

Is there a way to achieve half speed or quarter speed action in WOE, as is possible in IL2?

I mostly use sims to make wmv's, and slow motion is pretty much a necessity for me.

Thanks in advance for any help on this. :salute:

I think is possbile via a simple edit in the FLIGHTENGINE.INI that is located in the Flight folder. I don't know if you have it already extracted, otherwise use the cat extractor on the flightdata.cat.

[FlightEngine]

HUDDLL=HUD.dll

HUDDataFilename=HUDData.ini

CommDLL=Comm.dll

CommDataFilename=CommData.ini

ObjectList=ObjectList.ini

SoundList=SoundList.ini

ViewList=ViewList.ini

ParticleSystem=ParticleSystem.ini

EnvironmentSystem=EnvironmentSystem.ini

MessageSystem=MessageSystem.ini

SpeechSystem=SpeechSystem.ini

DeltaT=0.016667

MaxDeltaT=0.100

RefreshTime=0.016667

ChangeTimeAmount=15

MaxTimeCompression=8.0

StartTimeCompression=1 try to change it to 0.25

StartPaused=FALSE

ShowCockpit=TRUE

TextFilename=FlightText.str

EjectView=EjectView

Just tested to be sure. It works but when you hit Alt-T to speed up and it complete the cycle, then the default speed comes back to normal (1x).

And to be honest a take-off at 1/4 of normal speed is boring as hell. :grin:

Yes, you're right, Sheriff. I'm just so inept at most sims that I need the slo mo to give me time to line up shots and angles. :drinks:

Which reminds me, IL2 has the trak files that let you save a mission so that you can watch it over. Would that be something available in WOE?

It may be that I just haven't stumbled upon it yet.
