I liked this weird movie back in the early 70s.

MAD's Mort Drucker failed to make it even crazier - it wasn't possible to top that.

It's a very funny, very cynical, and, I suspect, very accurate book about that time and place.

 

The book is much better than the film, but having said that, the film is a head and shoulders above most war films which tend to be gash. Worth bearing in mind that The Green Berets was only a few years prior to Catch 22, and that was an enormous pile of s**te. Simply choose your viewing well.

No need to vomit, Mighty - my mum loves the Royals :grin:; and you should be situated far enough away from alll the trouble.
