Olham 164 Posted April 27, 2011 I liked this weird movie back in the early 70s. MAD's Mort Drucker failed to make it even crazier - it wasn't possible to top that.

Burning Beard 14 Posted April 28, 2011 The book is even crazier, kinda reads like a used car salesman on steroids. Beard
themightysrc 5 Posted April 28, 2011 It's a very funny, very cynical, and, I suspect, very accurate book about that time and place. The book is much better than the film, but having said that, the film is a head and shoulders above most war films which tend to be gash. Worth bearing in mind that The Green Berets was only a few years prior to Catch 22, and that was an enormous pile of s**te. Simply choose your viewing well. Happy royal wedding everyone (pauses to vomit).
Olham 164 Posted April 29, 2011 No need to vomit, Mighty - my mum loves the Royals ; and you should be situated far enough away from alll the trouble.
