MAKO69 186 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) Chu Lai Airbase Vietnam when it was first opened only 1500 ft needed JATO and arrested landings for the Skyhawks. They eventually added enouph interlocking STATS to a 1200 m runway. Eventualy became a thriving airbase then airport. Must have been fun flying those early months. 4 vids in all.
