Hello everybody !!!

 

This is for the folks who love Macross and miss a swarm of guided missiles swirling through the air.

Unfortunately the game interprets a missile pod as an air to ground weapon, so the AI doesn't use it in air to air engagements.

You can still use it and it's devastating in close dogfights but only in pilot controled aircraft.

There are 3 versions of the launcer and missiles. An IR and AR for air engagments and an IIR guided for air to ground.

The UUM7 pod holds 15 HMM01 missiles

IRM range - 8km

ARM range - 10km

IIR range - 10km

 

How it works : Select the UUM7 pod with your air to ground weapons key. Then switch to caged or air to air mode with your Hud mode setings key.

For the radar version you have to have the radar switched on and have a valid lock.

For the IR version, you can launch the missiles even if you don't have a lockon tone.BE AWARE that it is a fratricide missile due to the high off-borsight, it will lock on the nearest planes. Very effective on large formations of planes.

 

All three versions are fire and forget missiles.

 

The missiles are available from the year 1999 upwards.

Launchers can be loaded on USAF/USN type pilons that have rocket pod capability.

What you will need :

 

Copy of SF2/WOE2/WOV2/WOI2 patched to the latest standard

Thirdwire Weapons Editor for SF2 if you want to tweak the weapons - http://www.thirdwire...oads_tools.htm?

 

Install Instructions:

 

1. Read this entire readme :)

 

2. Drop the contents of the archive into your main MODS folder. Allow overwrites.

 

3. Start the game and blow up some stuff

 

Tested in SF2 and WOE2 only
