dsawan 624 Posted June 13, 2011 As if unemployment wasn't enough damage, I recently accepted a position for a Business development Mgr only to find out that it was a job scam. I thought it was a legit job workign from home as they sent realistic e-mails, work contract, documents and website as well as a job portal to do the work. wasn't until the bank summoned me to tell me I was a fraud victim. i reported to the FBI as well. Luckily, no funds were taken from my account but I was used and my ID and bank accounts compromised. Just giving you guys a heads up to do research or use the Better Business Bureau website for confirmation. When you're on unemployment, you become a little desperate. warthog64 92 Posted June 13, 2011 That's terrible, I'm sorry to hear that. This sounds like the same sort of thing I myself have come across on Craigslist, and other online Job sites. I don't even bother with these on line sources now, as most are "BS" Good luck with your job search, I myself am having problems as well right now to find a legit and good job. I currently have a temporary job with bad pay, So I'm also desperate to find something much better.
dsawan 624 Posted June 13, 2011 Thx, for the reply. Only thing was that they contacted me rather than me searching on a website. They found my resume on careerbuilder.com
+Julhelm 266 Posted June 13, 2011 Well that sucks. I too have had to take a temporary job with bad pay after getting my degree. It is really difficult to get an artist gig these days.

FastCargo 412 Posted June 14, 2011 Sorry to hear about that folks...good luck to ya. Watch out for those emails...the newest one I've seen is official looking emails from FedEx, UPS, or DHL. None of those companies will ever send you your 'package' info in a zip file. Plain text is usually the format they use. I'm not worried about keyloggers. I use my OSX partition to surf for porn...OSX was good for something... FC
