+Olham Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Just found these two handpainted emblems on aircraft fabric at "The Vintage Aviator" website, under "Relics". That amazing site is always worth to visit - there is so much to discover, to marvel about. I wonder if anyone knows, on which aircraft they were attached originally? Edited January 25, 2012 by Olham
sandbagger Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Just found these two handpainted emblems on aircraft fabric at "The Vintage Aviator" website, under "Relics". I recall doing the one on the left (or very similar) for a French Spad XIII squad.
+Muesli Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Yeah, Spads I think and also Nieuport 23s... Not for sure though.
+Olham Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 When you think you know OFF BHaH... Sandbagger, I rarely ever flew the SPAD XIII, but now I went through the skins and saw (AGAIN !), how many amazing skins there were made for OFF! I saw a SPAD XIII with an all red fuselage; and another with Stars and Stripes on the tail plane. And I understood, how much I still haven't seen yet. But is it a wonder, with more than 3.500 skins? Thanks for the hint - I guess you meant this one; the 49th, 1918:
