+RAF_Louvert Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 . This AM, as I was making my weekly perusal of the latest book listings on eBay, I once again hit gold. A 1929 English edition, (possibly a 1st), of Erich Remarque's classic, 'All Quiet on the Western Front', in the original, (albeit somewhat tatty), dust jacket. Now, while 1929 editions of this novel are relatively easy to come by due to the vast number printed, to find one in an original dust jacket in any condition is quite rare. And, when you do find one, they can command some serious money. But there I was, sipping my coffee and enjoying my search, when said book pops up with a 'Buy It Now' price of $9.99! I had to look twice to be sure I was reading it right, and once I was certain of what I was seeing I hit the buy button just as fast as I could click the mouse. Here is a photo of the item I am now anxiously awaiting to arrive: Sweet! Another fine book for my WWI library. Lou .
+Olham Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Lou, I always think: "lucky item, lucky Lou!", when one such special find comes to the right people like you.
