Short 'Period' Film

Came across this short film showing the French aces Rene Dorme, Albert Duellin and Georges Guynemer. It's from the British Pathe collection. Illustrates just how tight a fit the cockpit was, especially the SPAD.

Yes, I've seen this one before, but always good to see again.

I find the look in the face of the last man quite touching - I see him laughing,

but I think I trace losses and pains, and maybe fears, behind his smiles.

A clouded smile so to say.

Fatigue shows on their faces. And what a tight fit for Guynemer (and he was actually quite thin).
