fallenphoenix1986 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) Saw this over at SOH and thought some of you may be interested. Looks a tad beat up outside, inside its like the crew just left. http://www.telegraph...#?frame=2248412 Craig Edited June 28, 2012 by fallenphoenix1986 Quote
B52STRATO Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 A great tribute to the crew and those who served in each camp. It's a shame to let the frigate in such a state (outside). A budget problem ? As this is what affects most floating museums. Quote
+Dave Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I hope someone can step in and preserve this piece of history. Quote
fallenphoenix1986 Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Sadly from what I gather she's on her way to the Gillete factory. There was an attempt to get her moored permanently in Portsmouth however it fell through. Craig Quote
B52STRATO Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 This is unfortunately what seems to be for the ships of each of our museums in Europe... I had the chance to embark a time aboard the AA cruiser Colbert, which was docked in the port of Bordeaux. He now rotten in Brittany... with two destroyers wrecks on her sides... Quote
