winson Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Hi, Anybody can point me to the right direction on how to add a ground object like armor vehicle or ship to my SF1 WOV? I had tried to search this forum, i found how to add an aircraft, add weapons but i can't find the instruction for adding ground object. Anyone can help me? Thanks Quote
+Wrench Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) unzip to a temp folder or your desktop, read the enclosed read me for install instructions. usually, just drag and drop (or cut/paste) the new vehicles/ship/ground unit into the /GroundObject folder. By the way, i had also added a warship to my WOV, but how can i make the warship appear in the anti-ship single mission so that i can shoot at the warship instead of shooting cargo ship? Quote
+Wrench Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 warships don't show in anti-shipping missions, because they're warships. Only vessals classed as CARGO_SHIP are valid targets. Of course, in SF2, with SF2NA, they ARE valid targets (but only in CVBGs). Another reason to move up! Quote
andyp_uk Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Keep your original warship folder file as is in case they are used in campaign etc as WARSHIPS. Lets say warship is "Destroyer" To get it to appear in anti-ship mission do the following: Copy Destroyer folder and rename to Destroyer_2 (for example) In the new folder find the file Destroyer.ini and rename it to Destroyer_2.ini In the new folder find the file Destroyer_data.ini and edit it as follows: Find line new top that says: GroundObjectRole=WARSHIP change this to read: GroundObjectRole=CARGO_SHIP You will now have 2 destroyer models. One a WARSHIP and one a CARGO_SHIP The CARGO_SHIP version will now be selected randomly for anti-ship missions. Edited July 16, 2012 by andyp_uk Quote

winson Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Hi Wrench, thanks for the tip. It works nicely. I had tried BTR for armed recon mission also, it is totally not a good idea as a lot of BTRs from the convoy open up their AA gunfire on me, and i got shot down immediately. I was like . Quote
