DCS CTD

Hi, I have downloaded the DCS freeware title were you can fly the 25T, every time I try to start the sim I get a CTD. I can select stuff in the main menue and select missions, and the plane, but when I then click on "fly mission" I end up on my desktop scratching my head " what gone wrong"???

 

Can someone help me to get that game running?

Thats still DX9 - so could be related to the version you are using.

DCS won't run on XP at all.

People are having a hell of a time running it with XP and 32 bit. There's so much tweaking and fuddling around to get it to run that it's still not very stable.

I was running it on Win 7 32 bit and I got so frustrated I reloaded with 64 bit. Simply put unless the mission is small and you have your graphics options set low, you'll run out of memory FAST. DCS wants more than 2GB almost all the time, and a CTD on loading happens when it hits that mark.
