arthur666 65 Posted December 15, 2012 View File India-Pakistan War 1965 Please understand that due to game engine limitations this will not play out exactly like the war did historically, and due to my own personal time limitations, I was not able to do enough research to accurately name all of the ground units and some of the air-units. Also, I am in no way making any political statement regarding the war that occurred in 1965. To install: Merge the contents of the IndPak65 folder inside the .zip file into your preferred modfolder. It is recommended that you create a dedicated modfolder for all of your India/Pakistan SF2 needs, but if you know what you are doing, you can probably merge it all into a "SF2:Everything" install, but don't ask me how if you can't do it yourself. Combatace.com has all of the info you need. The files contain an edited _targets.ini file that only adds edited NumSquadrons= at a few airbases, especailly since most of the PAF squadrons were stationed at one airbase near Sarghoda. (changed Mushaf, Halwara and Pathankot airbases). Also included is a missing tile that goes with Stary's set for the terrain. tested with a full-merged install, both clean and in a heavily modded folder, You will certainly need SF2, SF2:Europe, SF2:Israel and Expansion 1 If anyone finds anything horribly wrong that I have missed, let me know ASAP, and I will fix it. You will need these user made files... http://combatace.com/files/file/13199-f-86-sabre-pack-pakistani-air-force/ http://combatace.com/files/file/11805-india-pakistan-terrain/ http://combatace.com/files/file/12506-indiapakistan-hi-res-tileset/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13142-india-pakistan-terrain-tweeks-pak/ ... and the following files will GREATLY enhance your experience, so get them as well: http://combatace.com/files/file/13089-f-104a-pakistani-af-and-ini-tweeks-pak/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13222-indian-air-force-dehavillandhal-vampire-fb52-for-sf2-full-merged/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13218-indian-air-force-hawker-hunter-f56-f56a-mod-for-sf2-full-merged/ http://combatace.com/files/file/9414-canberra-bi-mk58/ http://marcfighters.combatace.com/Aircrafts.htm http://combatace.com/files/file/13411-sf2-lockheed-f-80crf-80ct-33a-shooting-stars-pak-by-erikgen/ http://combatace.com/files/file/13458-t-33a-skin-pack/ I will give a hearty thank-you to: all of the great modders who created the above files, TK for staying with it for so long, everyone at CombatAce.com who has ever answered one of my many "How do I...?" and to Wrench for creating this beautiful terrain, releasing the PAF F-104A and the new PAF Sabre (which I fell in love with while testing this campaign), and allowing me to toss his targets.ini around like a cheap soda can. arthur666 65 Posted December 15, 2012 Forgot to mention: Install all terrain addons before installing my included Terrains/ files. And, to use the PAF F-104A, you will need the F-104A Pack first, but then again, it mentions that on the download page. Sorry for any confusion.

I will probably tweak it for ver 1.1 after a week or so of feedback. I really need to fly it from the IAF pov some more, but I'm just addicted to that new Sabre. I added the pit from the KAW pack to mine, BTW. From which title .exe should I create/copy a dedicated modfolder for this mod (SF2, SF2 Europe...)? I don't think it matters. I used both SF2 and SF2:E .
Wrench 9,865 Posted December 15, 2012 but the terrain is set for carriers ... might want the use the SF2NA exe, as it has the proper coding for the 'carrier zones' on the water bmp
hrc 156 Posted December 16, 2012 Don't have SF2NA. One more question: Gnat isn't included as stock aircraft so I guess one has to download it from this site, right? Cause I see that there is a enhancement pack recommended for it in install. instructions.

Cause I see that there is a enhancement pack recommended for it in install. instructions. The campaign should work fine without NA, but Wrench's point is that the terrain is ready for carriers so you should use the NA .exe if you want to take advantage of that for single missions. If you look at the download page for the 1965 campaign, you will notice a list of links. Follow these links to get the recommended addons. The gnat is in there. The gnat is in there. I downloaded Marcfighters Gnat the first time, but it shows no undercarriage. So I thought there was something more that it needed, like in the case of F-104A. Since there is no attach option in this post, I uploaded the Gnat screenshot in my profile gallery. Edited December 16, 2012 by hrc
arthur666 65 Posted December 16, 2012 Yeah, you're right. I never noticed. I guess I never looked at it on the ground. I can tell you that it puts up a hell of a fight in the air at least. Might be better left to the AI. If you don't install the Gnat, a Hunter will substitute. Personally, I am going to play with it in there. Not quite an immersion killer if I'm only encountering them in the air. Maybe someone will fix it, If I'm not mistaken, there was a different Gnat in the TSF mod. Wrench 9,865 Posted December 16, 2012 remove the divebrake statements in the data ini; and VIOLA! the landing gear comes back i'd thought we'd fixed that for Indo-Pak; i certainly remember posting the fix

hrc 156 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) i did it. But it's AIRBRAKE, not DIVEBRAKE. That confused me. Thanks! Edited December 17, 2012 by hrc
