Elite is coming back they have managed to raise the funds to get the project started and David Braben is still in the creators seat !!!

 

This game was the first computer game I ever played on a BBC Computer 3 decades ago and I hope it is as successful now as it was then...

Let's just hope they can pull it off. Redoing a 10 yr old game is one thing, but one from that far back will by necessity have to be very different.

From what I understand it will be a complete remake and rebuild with new Graphics... If it is that I will be happy as there is nothing else like it...

I will admit I never played it, so if this happens and I pick it up I would be evaluating it on its own merits with no regard to what came before it...other than the ones I HAVE played in the past, of course.

And today is the first opening of the Alpha Test were they are testing single player combat... and so far damn it looks rocking... so from March 2014(release date) I may disappear for awhile...
