+Dave 2,322 Posted January 7, 2013 Flaming Cliffs 3 - MiG-29S TWS Dual Track Demo This is a brief demo of the new Track While Scan (TWS) radar mode of the MiG-29S that allows you to engage two targets at once using the R-77 air-to-air missile. This mode is not yet available on the 1.2.2 beta version.
+HomeFries 29 Posted January 8, 2013 Looks awesome! Can't wait for the update. Did they fix the bug with not being able to access the ME for flight planning on the ported FC2 campaigns? Being able to use TWS in Over The Hump would be awesome.
JediMaster 451 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) That would be awesome if I could get my PK on the R-77 to be better than 50%! So frustrating when you think you've got it setup right and the missile sails off... I don't have that much practice with the 77 since it went 29S only. Back in the day when we could use it on the Flankers I knew it better. Edited January 8, 2013 by JediMaster
+HomeFries 29 Posted January 8, 2013 An observation and a couple of questions: After looking at the video again, I noticed that the first missile was fired at the secondary target and the second missile was fired at the primary target. Is this a bug that needs ironing, or is there a reason for this? Also, I was wondering how the secondary target is determined if there are more than two contacts. Is it by proximity to the first target, range to target, priority by closure rate, or something else?
+Dave 2,322 Posted January 8, 2013 I think its set by target priority.
JediMaster 451 Posted January 9, 2013 I know on western planes that feature multi engagement it seems to be prioritized based on "bug" order.
