Operation Red Flail : WOE 1980

What has started as a "campaign customization" can now be interesting for everybody /

Based on the 1979 WOE, I made a (relatively) new campaign : "Red Flail" in 1980.

Basically, there are more aircraft available on the Nato side :

German Tornadoes and Alpha-jets

Dutch NF5-A

French Mirage IIIC

Danish F35

 

I did not change the WP order of battle due to lack of info, maybe I will add a Su-25 evaluation unit ?

 

Are you interested in me uploading this campaign ?

 

If yes, do you have ideas on how to update the WP order of battle ?

Starting in 1979, around 15 Alphajet were operationnal in Germany as part of an evaluation and conversion unit based in Leipheim, tactical training started in May 1980, so it can be assumed that a small number would be available in late 1980.

 

Same for the Tornado

Go on, please, it's a good idea. Especially if camp will be set in the middle of changing line-up with new planes alongside the older ones ....

As far as I have seen, the Tornado was not in service, whether in RAF, Luftwaffe or AMI in 1980 ?

It was only operationnal in 1982 ?

Is this right ?

Just updated :

Luftwaffe Tornados replaced by F104

RAF Tornados replaced by Vulcan as 9 and 617 sqd were historically equipped (the engagement is not really historical but ...)

I shall add a small Alpahajet testing unit

Maybe 4 Su-25 ?

Instead of AlphaJets you should use Fiat G.91R3....

Enrico is working on a New Gina pack (R.1, R.3, R.4, T.1, T.3 & PAN).

And i did the GAF & PAF skins for the Ginas. All ready.

But due to real life, he has got no time to finish this birds (in the moment).

I think what is missing still are the cockpits and some ini work needs to be done too.....

Yes, that's already done : I forgot about a-jet (maybe a 1983 campaign ?) and try to adapt the Fiat OOB from NF5 1979.

The new Gina would be nice :)
