I really don't wanna do this but i'm feeling very frustrated at the moment.... So does any one have a working StartPosition/ObjectivePosition/HomePortPosition for a friendly carrier group in IsraelME?

I've done everything i think i should. I have the water.bmp and all the INI entries needed. The carrier group and the squadron shows up where i put then when viewing the MAP. But! they way points have my plane starting from a far of distance on the air an inland. ofcourse i set the option to start mission from the ground. I've tried several positions taken from the debug but it keeps doing the same thing.

do you have the RIGHT water bmp??? you know, like SF2NA, with color coded 'zones'???

the game engine ™ -in a full 5 merged with SF2NA- has to have the properly color codes zones painted on teh _water bmp. No _targets ini entries are required

yup. I downloaded the water.bmp packs. they work well in missions. just that i can't seem to get them to work on campaigns. I worked the first time but i found my group too close to the enemy bases and moved it back. I forgot to save the coordinates and now i can't seem to get it working...

you have to proper NA entries in the IsraelME.ini???

[Terrain]

TerrainFullName=Israel, Middle East

DataFile=IsraelME_data.ini

TargetFile=IsraelME_targets.ini

TargetTypeFile=IsraelME_types.ini

MovementFile=IsraelME_movement.ini

NationsFile=IsraelME_nations.ini

BriefingText=IsraelME_briefing.ini

DogfightFile=IsraelME_dogfight.ini

WaterMap=IsraelME_Water.bmp

DogfightOnly=FALSE

Longitude=34.80

Latitude=32.08

LimitedNations=TRUE

GroundObjectTexture=tan

NavalMap=TRUE

try this water bmp ... more set up for Suez 56, but...???? who knows!

Don't forget to extract and edit the IsrealME_nations.ini. With LimitedNations=TRUE, any and all naval powers MUST be listed

[LimitedNationList]

FriendlyNation001=ISRAEL

FriendlyNation002=FrenchNavy

FriendlyNation003=RoyalNavy

FriendlyNation004=RAF

FriendlyNation005=France

FriendlyNation006=USN

EnemyNation001=Egypt

EnemyNation002=Syria

oh man doesn't work. I think its the position. the water map maybe placement for the friendly naval units may be behind enemy lines. dunno.

Try placing your force further from the coast. Try them way out, then move closer incrementally to find how close you can get. I'ld just give you my coordinates, but they are at home and I'm at work.

I ran into the same problem a while back.

Thank's Arthur. ill use them coordinates for a second carrier group. or when i decide to use the orignal water.bmp. I actually got them working by something so silly i cant begin to think why i didnt just did it in the first place. Make the green water much, much bigger. :)

Good thinking.

Ya know, I'm not really sure if I ever downloaded the new water map.

@Wrench, could that be?

I don't have an enemy fleet in my campaign, just a US task force stationed offshore. The only reason I used the NA method rather than the old carrier station was to see pretty pretty cruisers and destroyers when I take off/land. Plus, they slaughter any MiGs foolish enough to pursue my egress.

Yeah I also like having a kicking escort group. to give the enemy a taste of what i go through each time i ventured in their territory. :blackeye:
