I noticed that it is impossible to lock and shoot cruise missiles with IRM, why?
Is it possible to change the value of IR reflection from the target, or may enhance the sensitivity of the sensor from the IRM?

You sure? - I've shot one down with an AIM-9 before - you have to be in the right place at the right time - the main problem is that normally I'm no where near parameters for a missile shot

What angle are you trying to down them from and with what weapon?

Iceland, North Atlantic

MissionType=INTERCEPT (F-14A vs Tu-16K-11-16)

F-14A loadout AIM-9M

Tu-16 loadout KSR-11

You got a lock on tone before firing?

No I have not had the usual lock on tone! It's frustrating,

I know I had a good angle, proper speed and altitude, and even more than that (all values were in the envelope for AIM-9M).

I tried with the AIM-9L over the Falkland Islands against the Exocet.

Efficient was just Aden4.

Is, heat trace left behind rocket different from the trace left behind a plane (in SF2). :dunno:
