+quack74 329 Posted February 10, 2014 Anyone know what parameters will adjust this visual phenomenon?
DARoot 6 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Greetings, Quack74 Well, since no one else (so far) has responded to your question, I'll go out on a limb, and try ... [at least, you'll know that SOMEBODY read your post ...] Your screenshots suggest, to me, that it is due to the Game Engine trying to render "distant objects" it interprets as being beyond the "horizon distance" you have set in your "Options" configuration. [e.g., no textures, "greyed-out" etc.] Try setting a higher "horizon distance" and see if that makes any difference. DARoot [You wouldn't think, given the appearance of the trees and other objects in your screenshots, but ... Who knows?] Edited February 13, 2014 by DARoot
Wrench 9,846 Posted February 13, 2014 I recall a similar issue in the KAW map (but it was water rendering at hill tops), but don't exactly remember what the fix was, but I think it was something in these statements: [HeightField]DetailScale=1.0DetailFrequency=1.0MaxHeight=1000MinHeight=0 [HeightOffset]LowDetailMesh=-1.5WaterMesh=0.8 but, again, I'm not really sure! +quack74 329 Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks guys. I was messing with all of those parameters and I don't remember which one messed up the distant objects. Thanks. At least I know where to look now.
