+daddyairplanes Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 soooo... i went and collected pics of all the stock birds to make a loading screen mod for the stock game. went to load it up last night and nothing. pics are in JPEG format, and i tried running both A-4B_Loading.JPG and A-4B_Loading.JPEG. but its a no show, just that F-4 with the George AFB codes. am currently running May 2013 patch. any ideas? non stock birds do just fine with loading screens in bitmap and jpg formats sooo i'm slightly baffled. also knocked out the jpeg screens for my USAF skinpack so i suspect TKs hand in there somewhere. TIA for any help Quote
+Soulfreak Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Rename it in the ini to f.e.: SkyhawkB_loading.jpg and save the loadingscreen as SkyhawkB_loading.jpg. I made the experience that this works, but don´t ask me why. ;-) Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 ugh was afraid of that. was trying to keep the stock ish names so patching wouldnt affect it. So you realize how many ini edits and renames that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
+Soulfreak Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I always back up my whole mod folder. ;-) Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Oh thats not the issue. Its just editing 100+ inis and renaming the same amount of pics. Oh well, another two weeks.... Quote
stingray77 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Yeah - I went through this times and times again already... But it's worth it! Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) it will be. was hoping to release soon. just got bumped to third in line rather than first in line for release. will finish stock F-4B and J serials and ANG SLUFs first now....
