Then and now, or how I met an 'old friend' today!

Hi all,

I had a wonderful trip today to the relatively new National Military Museum at the

old Camp Amsterdam (Soesterberg) Airbase location.

Too bad Derk Bodegom was ill, because I looked forward to finally meet him in
person and get the VIP tour... but well, I will return!

It was fabulous, and whenever you visit NL I recommend you visit it!
I myself was happy to see an 'old friend' of mine; the Mercedes Benz GD290
Geländewagen ambulance which I drove in Bosnia back in 1994.
Although not complete, it was a nice trip down memory lane and it was nice to
see some vehicles in the white UN livery here...

A fabulous visit which i will repeat, I recommend it to anyone!!!
