B52STRATO Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) The Japan Air Self-Defense Force has ordered yesterday a first tranch of five Bell Boeing V-22 (Block C). A contract of 332.5 million US$ for the "package", including training and initial support. This makes Japan the first export customer for the Osprey. I'll try to add one link or more in english ASAP, I actually just found some in french, greek or spanish... EDIT : just find it in english http://worldne.ws/2015/07/u-s-japan-ink-deal-for-first-batch-of-v-22-tiltrotor-planes/ Edited July 16, 2015 by B52STRATO 1 Quote
+WhiteBoySamurai Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Five is just the initial order. I'd go so far as to predict that Japan will look into license-building more, as they've done with most US-designed hardware in the past. Quote
