I have to say I've seen it all now.

 

Today we incurred 80 minutes of downtime. One of our RAID cards had it's heat sink separate from the control card itself, this threw a heat fault and the machine powered down. The controller was replaced with a new card and that machine was restarted which brought our services back online.

 

This is one of those things that you just can't plan for.

 

I apologize for the downtime but we are back online 100%.
